Art historian Dr. Diane Radycki studies European art dating from the late nineteenth century up to the mid-twentieth century. Dr. Radycki earned her B.A from the University of Illinois, M.A from Hunter College, and Ph.D from Harvard University, and recently wrote a book called Paula Modersohn-Becker: The First Modern Woman Artist. Although I was not present for Dr. Radycki’s presentation, I managed to discover some aspects of her career through Moravian College’s website, as well as Dr. Radycki’s website and Facebook page.
As far as her use of technology, it appears that Dr. Radycki travels frequently and uses the internet to promote her works. Also, she uses technology to edit and write books, and connect with others in the art community; Dr. Radycki interacts with various galleries and museums and presents papers at College Art Association Conference in Los Angeles. In addition, Dr. Radycki previous careers includes working for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Parke-Bernet’s Auction Magazine, while her current career being an associate professor in art history and director of Payne Gallery at Moravian College.
